The Creation of OriBase Pharma
OriBase Pharma is the result of the merger between Nova Decision and Azasynth. In 2010, the two companies joined forces in new headquarters in Montpellier, France. Before the merger, both companies were young biotech start-ups, created in 2007.
Today, OriBase Pharma consists of 10 employees: 8 within R&D and 2 within Business Development and Administration.
Created in 2007, OriBase Pharma is a biotechnology-pharma company, specialized in the development of new targeted therapies in oncology. The company results from the strategic merger in October 2010 between two innovative companies that decided to complement their technology, assets and expertises:
- Nova Decision: specialized in the development of chemoinformatics softwares with the aim of accelerating the discovery process of drug candidates.
- Azasynth: specialized in the development of innovative chemistry synthesis processes with the aim to explore new patentable chemical scaffolds.
In January 2011 OriBase Pharma employees relocated to the new facilities at the Biopôle of Montpellier. OriBase Pharma now has an extensively equipped research laboratory of 355 m2 (3821 sq ft) to ensure the continuity of its research programs.
